Ceanothus x delileanus Bush 01
The Blue Blossom Ceanothus 'Glorie de Versailles' enchants with its magnificent blooms from late summer well into autumn. This shrub is low-maintenance and undemanding, provided it is planted in the right location. Full sun and alkaline soil promote growth and have a positive effect on flowering. A lovely feature of Ceanothus delilianus 'Glorie de Versailles' is its splendid late-season bloom; in mild autumns, this flowering period extends right into November. During the blooming season, the medium-green foliage recedes into the background, becoming almost completely obscured by the flower panicles. After flowering, fruits develop; these remain on the shrub throughout the winter, appearing as small, inconspicuous purplish-to-brown spheres.
